Great instructional design isn't just about writing curriculum (although that's a big part of it). It's also about carefully analyzing needs, listening to stakeholders, and regularly evaluating the work.
I've been designing instructional materials for two decades and love getting into the big questions:
Who will be learning, and what knowledge and behaviors do we want them to learn?
How can we make this learning experience as compelling and engaging as possible?
Of course, there are many other questions in the process, but these are the biggies. For businesses and organizations, the other big question is how the training will benefit the organization.
I design creative and effective instructional materials for adult and K-12 learners – please see those individual pages to learn more.
